In December of 2023, Roy was admitted to the Upstate Community Hospital ICU ward after having difficulty breathing, and was later transferred to Upstate Medical University Hospital. While in the ICU, the medical team decided to place Roy on a ventilator in hopes to work as a form of treatment. Unfortunately, his condition worsened and Roy passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 78. During this time, our family was able to provide comfort to each other, along with the wonderful medical team that worked with Roy everyday. We hope to take our story and use it to help aid and comfort other families in the area who are going through similar experiences, and help them through that difficult time.
